How Can I Keep from Singin'?

Opus 8 in concert - Eight of Toronto's finest ensemble singers offer a delightful evening of a cappella folksongs old and new, including rarities by Gombert and Marenzio as well as familiar pieces in brand-new arrangements by Director of Music, Robert Busiakiewicz. This concert promises something for everyone, from the melancholy laments of lost love to boisterous sea-shanties.

Musical Promenade through Wellington

Come for a walk through Wellington, and experience 4 miniature musical concerts in 4 different locations. A musical guided tour, exploring the concept of waves through sound and movement. Local plant-based chef Chris Byrne will delight you with 4 new edible creations to accompany each stop. Start and ends at Wellington United Church. Duration approx. 1.5hrs.

Danika Lorèn and Collectif: Cabaret "A Watering Hole"

Classical music gets a dash of comedic irreverence in a casual atmosphere at Stache on Main. Music spans from the sensual to cynical, haunting to hilarious, and features original compositions, arrangements and improvisations with the irreplaceable Tom King on the keys. Jennifer Drabbe, Danika Lorèn and Whitney O'Hearn are at the helm as classical music lets its hair down in an adults-only evening of well-managed mischief.

Dinner + Concert Series catered by Picnic:  Dominic Desautels and The Parcival Project

Dinner + Concert Series catered by Picnic: The Cheng² Duo

The Cheng² Duo transports you to ethereal sound worlds with music by some of their favourite 19th and 20th-century composers, in Fables and Folk Tales. The journey begins in soulful Russia, stops to explore folk motifs in Germany and then then moves on to enchantment in France. Highlighted on the concert will be The Cheng² Duo’s own arrangement of Ravel’s beloved Pavane pour uno infante défunte. Don't miss this magical evening that is sure to transport you to faraway lands!

Musical Salon: Duetto Violoncello Baroque featuring Elinor Frey + Pheobe Carrai

Canadian cellist Elinor Frey is joined by celebrated performer, Phoebe Carrai, for a program of duo sonatas from the 18th century. The works bear witness to a time when the cello was becoming an extremely popular and important instrument throughout Europe. Giovanni Battista Cirri, Jean Thomas, and Giuseppe Dall’Abaco were each cellist-composers who wrote charming duets with equal parts. Having just released an album of contemporary works for solo baroque cello, Ms. Frey will be performing one of these works, to provide a breath of new air to the evening.
